SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (OutlookSoft) Senior Application Consultant

The Senior Application Consultant is responsible for the design, build and knowledge transfer of SAP’s BPC (formerly OutlookSoft) Performance Management solution within the customer’s operating environment.

This includes design preparation, application development, application testing, knowledge transfer to the customer and deployment support resulting in a successful implementation of the product to meet the customer’s business needs. The Senior Application Consultant may be involved in various stages of a project life cycle from pre-sales through implementation.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent level of education and experience

Experience directly or indirectly with one or more of the following business processes: budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, operational reporting and scorecarding

Five plus years of Accounting or Finance experience

One plus years of user or implementation experience with the OutlookSoft, Hyperion, Cognos or other OLAP-based product

Demonstrated leadership roles over teams or projects that span an organization’s departments

Excellent oral and written skills, which allow for the ability to translate between information technology and business solutions

Ability to engage various levels of stakeholders in the customer’s organizations and communicate the necessary level of knowledge regarding the solution being built

Demonstrated history of attributes consistent with the Aster Group culture: can-do attitude, customer-focused, flexible, proactive, quality-conscious, responsive, team-oriented

Required Skills

Ability to travel independently throughout the country to meet with employees, customers and partners. Travel up to 75%; relocation is not required

Ability to excel in a team environment and consistently deliver on assigned application development tasks

Ability to work under stress, with interruptions as well as with conflicting needs and tight deadlines

Ability to problem solve and answer questions

The Technical Consultant is responsible for the development and testing of technical solutions to support the implementation of SAP’s (OutlookSoft) Performance Management application.

This includes integration development, application development, testing, knowledge transfer to the customer and deployment support resulting in a successful implementation of the product to meet the customer’s business needs. The Technical Consultant may be involved in various stages of a project life cycle from pre-sales through implementation.

Qualifications

BA/BS or equivalent level of education and experience

Five plus years of information systems experience

One plus years of experience with OutlookSoft, Hyperion, Cognos, MS Analysis Services or other OLAP-based product

Demonstrated leadership roles over teams or projects that span across an organization’s departments

Excellent oral and written skills, which allow for the ability to translate between information technology and business solutions

Ability to engage various levels of stakeholders in the customer’s organization and communicate the necessary level of knowledge regarding the solutions being built

High level experience in SQL 2000/2005 Server and DTS/SSIS

Ability to develop advanced queries and stored procedures

Advanced SQL programming skills with data manipulation/transformation tasks

Knowledge of SQL Analysis Services and OLAP technology

Experience in developing ASP.NET applications (C#, VB)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA code

Experience with server installations, including Microsoft Server 2003 operating system and Microsoft SQL server 2005

Compensation is commensurate with experience
