Position: Technical Specialist (.NET)

Engagement Overview:
.Net CoE is responsible to build capabilities on .Net projects. This team will be responsible in building best practices, tools and utilities for various teams. In addition, to this team will also be responsible in provide technical support for various technologies to teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Design, implementation and support of various enterprise/business solutions
Support, implement, execute and monitor .NET projects
Work directly with business analysts, end users and project teams to develop new functionality, module, application from specifications
Convert complex requirements into an optimal design
Coordinate testing, and performing change management/training
Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing
Provide production support and administration
Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues
Preparing project-related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical specs, etc.) throughout various stages of the project
Mentoring team members and track day to day assignments
Able to act as "in charge" project leader for smaller projects or in temporary absence of project leader / manager.
Must be Microsoft Technology passionate, Ability to learn upcoming & existing technologies of Microsoft , perform R&D work
Active participation in laying down of common set of best practices & pattern in .NET Projects.
Vigorous Contribution in various activities of .Net CoE

Desired Skills:
Strong design and development experience of web and desktop systems in .NET (2003/2005/2008)
Strong experience on web tools and technologies like ASP.NET , Web Services, XML/XSD, AJAX, Silver light
Good knowledge of MS Server and Services like MOSS, SSIS, Project Server etc.
Experience using reporting, scheduling tools like Crystal Reports, DTS and SSIS
Strong database knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server (at least one)
Independent player
Strong communication (verbal and written) & Analytical skills
Exposure to latest trends in Microsoft development tools and technologies i.e. .Net 3.5 , WCF , WWF , WPF
Hands on experience on UML & design patterns
