This role is to provide team leadership for such projects.

The ideal candidate will:

·          Provide input to technical design of new solutions applying current software design techniques.

·          Decompose design into development plan tasks and provide accurate estimation of effort.

·          Able to work with the business to confirm requirements and agree a concise set of requirements, and estimate and design

·          Own the specific parts of a solution from design and development through to test and implementation.

·          Ensuring all development meets business requirements and is delivered fully tested and as per development plan.

·          Lead scoping, estimation and planning activities.

·          Be responsible for hands-on team management activities including line-management and delivery of tasks undertaken by the team managed, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Description

*Plan test requirements as per accredited standards and internal John Deere test standards.-LAB TEST, FOR TRACTOR COMPONENTS AND SUB SYSTEMS. *Selection of test equipment and fixtures suitable for test. - Plan for machine and manpower requirement. *Design simple fixtures and supervise fabrication of the same for in-house test.Conduct PFMEA of tests/set ups. *Supervise manpower for in-house test.Monitor in-house tests on daily basis and update team on status Knowledge about test agencies and their capabilities. *Support external test agencies for test planning and Interact with external agency on day to day basis for on time completion of tests, ensuring quality of test. *Analysis failure or get failure analysis done (metallurgy, chemical etc.).Generate technical reports. *Discuss conclusion of tests in CFTs, review etc. - involvement in DFSS project teams and support for DOEs, validations etc. - Executing formalities for test at external test agencies (Intents, P.O.s, payment tra

Major Duties

•PNEUMATIC & HYDRAULIC ACTUATORS, TIMERS, CONTROLLERS, ATMOSPHERIC CHAMBERS, FIXTURES FOR STRUCTURAL TEST, VIBRATION TABLE ETC.
•Knowledge of Electrical components for testing-BASIC ELECTRICAL COMPONENT KNOWLEDGE (MOTORS, SHITCHES, ECUS ETC.)
•Support external test agencies for test planning and Interact with external agency on day to day basis for on time completion of tests, ensuring quality of test.
•Analysis failure or get failure analysis done (metallurgy, chemical etc.).Generate technical reports.

Qualification

Education

•B. Tech./B.E. in Mechanical/Agricultural Engg. - with 3-6 yrs exp

Required Skills

•Understanding of basic testing principles. Knowledge about material, structural and fatigue testing.

•Understanding of engineering drawings GD&T. Basic test equipment knowledge (timers, pneumatic & hydraulic actuators, measurement instruments, lead cells tec). Pro E/CAD.

•Knowledge of electrical components and their testing. Vibration testing and environmental testing. DFSS, 5S, failure analysis.
