EXPERIENCE, CHARACTERISTICS & KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:






Educational / Professional Qualification (Preferable): BE / B Tech/ MCA


Excellent Communication skills.


Product Development capabilities


Solid understanding of development concepts/processes (object oriented programming, source control, etc)


Work Experience between 4 – 10 years of industry experience

REQUIREMENT DETAILS:






Essential Skills:





• Proficiency and experience in system administration of the Microsoft Windows (2000 / 2003) in a data center environment.


• Proficiency and experience in system administration at least one Unix flavour - HP-UX , AIX , Solaris


• Experience providing management services such as server provisioning, asset discovery, asset management, configuration management, and patch management of Windows or UNIX servers


• Experience with TPM (Tivoli Provisioning Manager ), Understanding of TADDM (Tivoli Application Discovery & Dependency Mapping) & TLCM (Tivoli License Compliance Manager) is added advantage.


• Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript, VB, Perl, Shell, and Windows Mgmt Instrumentation (WMI) etc.


• Proficiency with Microsoft security and patching principles.


Additional technical skills or experience that would be of benefit in this role;


• Database administration concepts and tools. Knowledge and experience with DB2 would be ideal.


• Familiarity with Intel / AMD based server class hardware concepts from the major vendors (HP/IBM/Dell).


• Familiarity and experience with IBM Websphere Application Server


• Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Active Directory and/or LDAP


• Familiarity and experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, and/or virtualization technologies such as VMware


An appreciation and understanding of other areas of computing – e.g. Networking, Storage






Responsibilities


Contributing to the development, testing, and documentation of a new TPM Windows & Unix OS Images using IBM TPM (Tivoli Provisioning Manager).


Development & Evaluation of other third party management tools in UNIX & Windows areas , and providing documented results and recommendations
