Cognizant Off Campus Drives for 2009 Passouts only

Dear All

We propose to organize combined campus (off-campus) recruitment drives across select locations for 2009 batch freshers ONLY. Towards this, we have opened up registrations in the Cognizant Careers Portal (https://careers.cognizant.com), under the “Freshers” section. Interested students, as per the criteria mentioned in the portal, can log onto it and submit the relevant details.

If found suitable as per eligibility criteria, they shall be invited to participate in the off-campus recruitment drives. Details of the drives will be shared with the eligible candidates, as and when it is scheduled.

Kindly share the information with interested students of the 2009 batch ONLY.

Description

Role:

  • The candidate will work with a team to test and report issues in analytical / domain functionalities of the Banking and Risk applications
  • Programmatic validation of Statistical / Analytical / Mathematical algorithms used in SAS Banking / Risk products (and other products related to Finance / insurance)
  • Functional testing of Banking / Risk Products from a business / domain perspective
  • Creating repeatable Testware using SAS-specific testing frameworks.
  • Reporting defects in the software.
  • Creating and running automated testware using SAS coding techniques.
  • Collaborate with members of the development and testing teams with an understanding of the domain / business requirements.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Good Statistical programming skills using SAS, including macro and analytical procedures Knowledge of Banking and Risk domain, experience of testing / developing applications in the Banking risk domain, knowledge of BASEL II and related concepts
  • Proven Analytical and Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to work closely with remote and local development teams

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics

Description

Role:

  • Ability to design and develop modules for the next release of J2EE and Flex/Flash based web application for the product
  • Behavioral ability to work in a team towards common goal

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Flex/Flash. SAS Internal Web development frameworks and API's, SQL
  • Good working knowledge of core Java, J2EE and optionally SWING based technology
  • Good working knowledge of developing and designing J2EE based Web applications

Role:

  • Install, execute and tune benchmarking test suite
  • Run numerous iterations of the test suite with small differentials
  • Capture performance results; identify best practices and tuning and configuration guidelines
  • Leverage prior operating system and hardware knowledge with SAS skills to tune entire system for optimal performance and most importantly ease of execution by NON-SAS literate technical staff (partners and customers)
  • Gain an understanding of product capabilities.
  • Works closely with product strategy and R&D teams to feedback performance information to influence future product releases.

Understands, utilizes and communicates best practice methodologies internally and externally

  • Build relationships with Benchmarking Solution Architects that own the test suites and platform partners who help achieve performance goals through configuration and tuning assistance

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of hardware, architecture and enterprise class systems
  • Knowledge of software and hardware architecture
  • Extensive knowledge of system administration, tuning and configuration on multiple platforms specially UNIX based systems
  • Enterprise Class level System Administration Expertise on Unix and Windows
  • Extensive understanding of hardware from a performance aspect (diagnosing and tuning for performance)
  • Extensive understanding of how applications sit on top of the hardware environment.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate technical concepts of a multi-tier architecture.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's / Masters degree or IT degree with Certifications with minimum 4 years of relevant experience
