Prime Purpose

To be responsible for all areas of software testing ranging from designing and documenting test scenarios from requirements and use cases to setting up and maintaining a data driven automated testing architecture.

 

Key Tasks

 

·         Become point of contact for any queries on product functionality and provide guidance to the team.

·         Maintain and enhance the automated regression suite coverage

·         Develop and execute test plans and scenarios

·         Perform risk based impact analysis for identifying test scenario coverage

·         Use appropriate testing tools and standards to conduct and document tests

·         Impart trainings on Product Knowledge and automation tools to the team

 

Essential Attributes

 

·         A minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing with at least 3 years in test automation (preferably QTP, Quality Centre) 

·         A minimum of 2 years hands on experience working with automation framework

·         Ability to manage change in an agile environment

·         Strong problem solving skills

·         Take ownership of issues and can source out solutions involving others as required

·         Excellent documentation skills

·         Strong communication skills – both written & verbal

·         Ability to work well in a team environment

·         Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work

 

Desirable Attributes

 

·         Specifically an Insurance or Financial Industry background is preferred

·         Experience with other automation tools such as Rational Robot will be viewed favourably with previous demonstrated commercial experience

 

Other aspects:

 

·                     Willingness to travel abroad for short durations (must hold valid passport)
