System Integration Test Manager, Bangalore - Position Description

 

Requirements:

·         10+ years' experience in the area of Optical Networking.

·         Experience managing or  leading a team of test engineers testing carrier-class optical networking products(s) Experience in leading Projects to successful completion.

·         Experience writing test plans, participating in requirements, design and test plan reviews Proven record of active participation in design and development activities of the product.

·         Experiences in areas such as Fault management, configuration management, circuit/provisioning services, IP networking are essential along with strong exposure GMPLS protocols. Good exposure to DWDM based Line system testing will be desired.

·         Must have used commercial defect tracking tools to monitor and track defects Demonstration of leadership and initiative in the areas of project management, productivity, cycle-time benefits, and innovative test methodologies.

·         Prior Experience in Automation or building tools/framework is desirable.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Lead the team on the technical front and provide proper guidance to the team, keeping the long term goal and the immediate needs of the product in mind.

·         Perform team management and people management functions. Do periodic sync up with team members, monitor their progress, assign tasks etc.

·         Manage team of engineers locally and at remote location. Need to communicate with remote engineers on regular basis. Mentor new members of the team.

·         Work with PMO, Software, Hardware and Firmware development teams to mitigate the risks and continuous basis.

·         Work with the team members in writing test plans for various features of the system Ensure that the project follows the process set up by the company Work with system engineering, hardware, product marketing and other teams during testing of the product to make sure the test cases and quality of testing is thorough.

·         Monitor the progress of the team, escalate any issues, propose solutions and resolve them.

·         Provide a fun and challenging work environment for the team members Ensure world-class software and system quality for products being tested by the team Ensure highly predictable schedule and quality results Ensure highly productive use of equipment resources Provide the initiative and leadership for creative test methodologies that improve the defect find process and reduce test cycle time

 

 

Manager - Test Automation, Bangalore - Position Description

 

Requirements:

·         Must have 10+ year industry experience

·         Must have 5+ years of experience in the area of Optical Networking.

·         Must have 5+ year experience in the area of test automation including scripting languages such as perl, tcl/tk

·         Experience running large automation projects and taking it through full product life cycle.

·         Experience managing or  leading a team of test engineers testing carrier-class optical networking products(s)

·         Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have strong leadership skills.

·         Experience writing test plans, participating in requirements, design and test plan reviews Proven record of active participation in design and development activities of the product.

·         Must have experience in fault management, configuration management, circuit/provisioning services, GMPLS protocols, etc.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Provide visionary direction to the team to achieve very high automation percentage.

·         Steer the team to achieve highly reliable automated test cases that reduces the overall test cycle time.

·         Lead the team on the technical front and provide proper guidance to the team, keeping the long term goal and the immediate needs of the product in mind.

·         Perform team management and people management functions. Do periodic sync up with team members, monitor their progress, assign tasks etc.

·         Manage team of engineers and mentor new members of the team.

·         Suggest, innovate and implement automation framework as necessary to improve team and company's productivity.

·         Work closely with test, software development, and system engineering teams to ensure reliable execution of test cases in an automated way.

·         Monitor the progress of the team, escalate any issues, propose solutions and resolve them.
