Dear All,

The Chennai office of Amazon (www.amazon.com) has few open positions for the role Software Development Engineer (SDE).

A Software Development Engineer at Amazon should:

    1) Be able to design and build extremely reliable, scalable and high performing enterprise systems in about one-third the time that most competent people think possible.

    2) Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in Computer Science such as Algorithms, Object Oriented Design, Data Structure, Distributed Systems, Transaction Processing, Search &  Information Retrieval and Operating Systems.

    3) Be able to write Amazon quality code in an object oriented language (preferably Java).

    4) Bring 3-8 years of software engineering and product delivery experience, with strong background in algorithms and high performance distributed systems.

B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/Ph.D degree in computer science or related fields, or equivalent experience, is required for the Software Development Engineer position.
