Xora is seeking talented software engineers with proven ability to design, develop, and optimize server side components of our large-scale hosted service. As a key of our technical staff, you will help deliver multi-tenant, hosted service that is scalable and highly available.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable web applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML and Oracle technologies
• Participate in and lead code-review sessions to identify potential problem areas and suggest alternative solutions
• Produce high quality code without much supervision and on-time delivery
• Support deployment of applications into production and resolve production issues by reproducing and determining the root cause

Required Skills/Experience

• BTech/MTech in Computer Science or related field from a reputed university with good academic record
• 3-5 years of progressive industry experience
• 2+ years software product development experience in Java
• Have a high level of design skills and a broad understanding of various technologies
• Strong experience in N-tier e-Business applications using J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, WebServices), HTML, AJAX, JavaScript and Oracle
• Strong understanding of MVC and Object Oriented development concepts
• Strong understanding of database design and SQL development
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• Disciplined self-starter, able to be highly productive both working alone and in close collaboration within a team

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience in wireless industry in building server side wireless technologies is a big plus.
• Experience in J2ME is a big plus.
• Experience with performance and monitoring tools.
