Job Description:
Project Associate – Transition Management -RIMS Service Transition
Under direction and guidance from transition leadership, apply knowledge of Scope, Risk, Quality, Human Resource, Financial, Procurement, Communication, Schedule, Integration and Request Management to create / maintain deliverable for project planning, execution, reporting and reviewing
Support Transition and technical team
Work primarily with all the internal stakeholders and the client
Apply standard project management methods, processes and tools in creating / maintaining deliverable; support transition project control approach and metrics
Create, analyze and communicate deliverable in support of transition project reviews
Create, support, analyze and communicate transition project deliverable; monitor performance of program or project team members; provide decision support; support or facilitate status review meetings
With the guidance from the transition leadership, ensure and track the following:
Resources are on board with the basic induction about the company and the client
Any skills based training required to provide the services
Infrastructure readiness for the transition team that includes space, equipment, processes and standards
Network connectivity at offshore / off site
Travel coordination for the knowledge transfer as per the knowledge transfer time lines and plan
Knowledge transfer with the client as per the transition plan
Required documentation is provided to the technical teams
Delivery readiness as per the transition checklist
Risk mitigation's / action plans, Issues and resolution, and constraints are navigated through with mitigation's
Conduct parallel operations / shadow support smoothly
Technical Requirement (Should have handled any of the below transitions):
Level 1, Level 2 and 3 support for the following skills
Service Desk
OS - Solaris, AIX, HP UNIX, Linux & Windows
Storage (all makes)
Database (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) and Backup & Recovery
Network (Routers, Switches and Firewall)
Active Directory & Messaging – Lotus and Windows
Middle ware (Web sphere, Web logic, IIS)
Standard Monitoring and Performance tools such as for IBM, HP, CA, Advent Net, etc.,
Desired Profile:
0 to 2 years relevant
Engineering Graduates / Post Graduates with first / second class from reputed Universities
High Analytical skills and technical knowledge in solutioning or presales especially in RIMS
Thorough understanding of the transition methodologies, processes and procedures
Good understanding and knowledge of the managed services model, strategic outsourcing, SLAs, productivity improvements and unit based costing models
Understanding of ISO processes and security related practices such as ISMS, SAS70, etc.,
Should be a go getter, highly proactive and positive attitude
Excellent Communication skills both oral and written
Should have worked in an ITIL based environment
Should have strong foundation in ITIL Framework – ITIL Foundation certified preferred
Should have end to end knowledge in bid conceptual stage to delivery
